Stephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her debut role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. The film also featured her in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). Sigman made an appearance in Narcos (2015) as and S.W.A.T.(2017) in the first and second seasons, respectively. Sigman was born to an Mexican mom and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. The father of her, former baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her first professional work was in Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played the lead role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala), a Mexican crime-drama. Six years ago, the Mexican entry for Best Foreign Language Film was selected during the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] However, it was not able to make it to the shortlist. For her film performance, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. In 2011, she starred as Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary Film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was the Norwegian thriller.
