Fawn Mckay
Fawn Brodie McKay was born on the 15th of September 1915 was a native of Ogden Utah. Fawn McKay, brought up in the Mormon Church's First Family used her literary talent and research abilities to create an intriguing psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 with the title:"No Man is a Master of My History, she used both. The title was inspired by the title of a sermon that Joseph Smith delivered in 1844, when he stunned his listeners with his words: "You do not know me and you've never listened to my heart. Nobody knows my past. There is no way for me to share it with you. I wrote the 29-year-old Fawn at the time: Ever since this moment of honesty, about three dozen writers have picked up the challenge. Some have attacked him, while others have glorified him. a few have tried their hands at clinical diagnosis it is not that documents are lacking it is rather that they are fiercely contradictory. Compiling these documents - - sorting through third- and first-hand sources, fitting Mormons' tales of the past to other people's history - is challenging. This is both exciting and instructive. Such was the task to which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. Her writings and research brought her fame around the world: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge of the South Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon, An Intimate historiography (1974) The posthumous.
